“Adore the Gentle Hues of Apricot Lemonade Cosmos and Find Yourself Smitten on First Sight”

When I stumbled upon the Apricot Lemonade Cosmos seeds while browsing online, I was immediately smitten by their charming and delicate hues. Without hesitation, I purchased a packet of these exquisite seeds to grow in my garden.

Although the Apricot Lemonade Cosmos seeds may appear similar to regular cosmos seeds, the beauty of their blossoms is truly astonishing. These pretty and dainty flowers boast a combination of peachy yellow petals, rosy pink halos, and bright yellow centers, with hints of white scattered throughout. Overall, they are one of the most breathtaking flowers I have ever laid eyes on.

In 2021, we had the pleasure of growing some stunning apricot lemonade cosmos flowers, which we affectionately named “Pinky Peachy Lemon Blooms.” It’s important to note that not all apricot cosmos are created equal – some may have a stronger lemonade flavor while others lean more towards the apricot side. Additionally, you may stumble upon some rosy pink blends if you explore further. Regardless, they are all absolutely gorgeous and worth growing with me!

If you’re interested in growing these beauties, let me share my first experience with you. The apricot lemonade cosmos feature single blooms with soft, lemony hues that can range from pale peachy apricot to more vibrant tones. A burst of pink near the center adds an eye-catching touch that truly enhances the overall beauty of these flowers. They can grow up to 3-4 inches in size and reach heights of 18-24 inches. I look forward to updating you on their growth in the coming years!

The Apricot Lemonade Cosmo flowers, along with the vibrant pink 4 o’clock flowers, are a sight to behold. These stunning blooms can thrive well into autumn, and even withstand the frost or freeze if regularly deadheaded. To prolong their blooming season, it’s recommended to cut the flowers on demand and remove any spent blooms. Although our plants didn’t perform exceptionally well in their first year, I still managed to capture some beautiful photos and look forward to growing them again this year and in the future. Take a look at these pictures of our very own homegrown Apricot Lemonade Cosmos.

We decided to add a bunch of lovely yellow apricot Cosmos in our flower bed for 2021.

The lemony yellow cosmos I grew in 2021 didn’t quite live up to their advertised description. Although they were still pretty, they were missing the pink halo in the center. As someone who is used to the ease of growing cosmos, I was expecting a similar experience with the apricot lemonade cosmos. However, it was not as effortless as I had hoped. The plants did grow, but they faced some problems like wilting foliage, brown stems and leaves, and deformed flowers that were not the same color as the pictures on the seed store’s website. Despite these issues, the few apricot lemonade cosmos that did bloom were beautiful. I hope that my experience was just a fluke, and I am prepared to try growing them again this year. It’s important to note that these plants can differ from one another, so it’s possible that my experience may not be the same as yours.

Can You Diagnose the Issue with My Apricot Lemonade Cosmo? Help Needed with Wilting and Brown Stems and Foliage

Despite conducting several researches, I still couldn’t find a clear diagnosis for my apricot lemonade cosmo’s wilting and brown stems and foliage. It could be a type of fungus or bacterial disease. Although I have come across fusarium wilt, bacterial wilt, and others, I am still unsure of what’s wrong with my cosmos.

If you happen to know the problem, please leave a comment on this post. I’m also waiting to hear back from the seed store in case they have any idea.

Nonetheless, we are still planning to plant another batch of these unique flowers soon. I adore the distinctness of this flower and hope that it grows well for us this year. I’ll keep track of our progress and add more photos of our 2022 apricot lemonade cosmos.

In case you’re wondering, I purchased my apricot lemonade seeds from Swallowtail Garden Seeds. Have you tried growing these types of cosmos before? If so, did you encounter similar issues with the stems and leaves turning brown or wilting? Let me know in the comments section.

Dear gardeners, I look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best in your gardening endeavors this season!
